Goodbye March, Hello April. Updates

Image
So those are my series, so far. Peterson Estate has 7 books total and that series is complete. The Fairytale Adventures is an open-ended series because I haven't decided how many I will write for it yet. I'll be writing the 3rd book for the series pretty soon. I'm ahead of schedule so it could be written sooner than I had originally thought. I don't like taking breaks between books lol. The Identity Collection will have a total of 4 books in the "collection" unless I come up with other identity-type stories lol. I'm not really searching for any so I may just end up with the 4. And the World Bureau Legacy series is also an open-ended series. I included upcoming books in those series so you know what's coming next in the series. I still have to write those books lol. I believe I have more series than I have standalone books. Even Cursed Blood and Spawn of the Curse are sort of series (even though they weren't included here). So my standalone books

5 days to live? What would you do?

Image
If you were told you would die on Friday and today was Monday, what would you do? My answer? I would forget about the little things, spend as much time with my family as I could--my, kids, grandchildren, and husband. I would write a letter to each one of them and tell them how much they meant to me, to be opened after my death. I would explore new things. I would set things up so my earnings would go to an account shared by my family. I would live. I'm glad I don't have to think about this because I would freak out and probably panic. I would hope I would be strong during this time but I also know that I wouldn't be. Who could? So if you were given 5 days to live, what would you do?

Homelessness

As someone who has experienced this, I can say a lot about homelessness. For one, no one really asks to become homeless. It is something that happens, sometimes more than once. It doesn't make a person less human. Living on the street isn't fun but one thing I did learn is that the homeless community looks out for each other. At least, that's what I experienced and witnessed. I met a lot of good people who struck some bad luck in their lives. Some are still on the streets while others were able to pick up their lives and return to society. I have watched people cross the street just to avoid going near someone who was homeless. I was able to ask some of them why they did that. One lady thought she'd get a disease from someone, another said he felt guilty about not being able to help, and another thought she'd catch being homeless. I had to keep from laughing on that one because it's not contagious. I think it was just an excuse but I didn't judge her. I pl

Something I Failed. Funny Story

I got my license to drive when I was 17 years old. It took the extra time to get it because I needed to learn parallel parking and backing up a little more. I did take driver's Ed so that helped. After I got the license, my aunt swore I needed to learn how to drive a stick. She claimed that all cars would eventually be made in a stick so I would have to know how to drive one. We spent a whole day with me behind the wheel. I was not hand-foot coordinated enough to get the car into gear so the engine kept stalling. She didn't want me to fry the engine so we stopped. She claimed I would never drive again, once those vehicles turned to stick and automatics stopped being made. I laughed to myself. A little while later, my older sister tried teaching me. I guess my aunt had a talk with her. My sister's boyfriend (they later got married) had a small car with a stick so it was smaller than my aunt's truck. It was more my size. My sister was actually nice to me during this attem

Beta Readers needed + Updates

This YA Romance is finished! I am now seeking Beta Readers to help finish off the edits. Before edits, I had 39,658 words. After editing, I now have 44K even. I still have to add the back matter to the story (bio and list of published books), but that can be done when I'm finished. Do you like wholesome romance? Here's the blurb:  Sarah met the man of her dreams. The only problem is he's dating her sister. Julie isn't right for Eric. She will break his heart. Sarah will be there when she does. Will Sarah have her happily ever after? Or will Julie ruin Sarah's chance at love?   This book is planned for release at the end of April so we have the full month to get through these edits and part of April. I'm thinking the last week of April, not sure the day yet. So email me at a.r.grosjean@hotmail.com if you would like to be a Beta Reader. Thank you, so very much!!! Update I learned that the feature for creating shadows that give a "glow" also works for ima
