Life During the Pandemic...

Image
A lot of us are stuck at home. Places are shutting down to keep us at home. Places like Walmart and Meijer (here in Fort Wayne, anyway) are staying busy. From the looks of the parking lots, nothing has changed. But when you go inside, there is a lot of change... The change? What normally stays full is bare. Eggs--gone. Toilet paper--gone. Pasta--almost gone. Milk--depending on which store, gone. People are using their entire paychecks on food and paper products. The stores that have a department store and grocery store together are pulling their employees from the department store section to cover the grocery side which means shelves are going empty in those areas as well because no one is maintaining them.  So while we are stuck at home, let's make the best of it which is why I'm posting this blog today. In the first picture, I shared what I did the other day with the living room. This is what it looked like before that... I get to the point where I NE

It's not just here, but everywhere. People are getting so scared that things are flying off the shelves. Toilet paper is just one of the many things. I'm just down the street from one Walmart and there's no toilet paper. They get an order in and they don't even have time to get it on the shelves. People are just grabbing it off the pallets. It's frustrating because you don't know if you're supposed to wait it out or go like nothing's happening. Some people think it's no big deal and others say it's the end of the world.  I don't know what to think. I just don't want to get sick. Right now I

Sometimes daydreaming can pay off. And that's why my head is always in the clouds--because I'm dreaming up new ideas and twists to add to my stories. Of course, sometimes those twists come out of nowhere and I'm left feeling stunned. The MC let it slip how she wanted the ending to come about and when I finally reached that ending, it was much better than she led me to believe. I'm sitting there, feeling OMG what an ending. The best part, it's not really the end. Just like all the books before this one, it's "to be continued" but I left a different kind of cliff hanger and it's beautiful. So fitting. So does Emily finally escape Hell? I'm not going to tell you lol. So now, the real fun begins and I start on editing the story. I need to fill in a few areas, add more details, etc. I haven't reached my word-count goal but I always add more in the editing process so I'm still not worried that it will end up being a novel like the oth
