Fairytale's Christmas.......
This is NOT the cover but I did think it was cute.
Here's what the story will be about. Jack Frost is missing. There's a dragon, keeping him so winter won't come. Maria, Nemoy, and their friends go on an adventure to save him, and guess what? Santa is going to help!
I'd love to have something like this as a cover but with a dragon wrapped around the Christmas tree, somehow. I'm not sure if that would work or be too scary for the kiddos. I'll be talking to my designer when I get closer to writing the book. I don't want something complicated. It needs to be fun like the first cover was.
So the book will be released sometime in early December 2021. It is next to be written. I just have to get through Murder Through Time. While the Beta readers are looking it over, I'll begin writing the story. Should be around August when that happens, maybe before. I like having a deadline because it has been helping me stay motivated and keep writing. I wasn't like that before lol.
Before, I was trying to write several books at the same time. If I got stuck on one book, I'd just turn to another book and proceed from where I left off. The problem was, I had too many going on at once and none of them were reaching the end. So I decided to focus on one book, write through to the end, edit, and then move to the next book. It has been so much better! I'm writing faster and with fewer blocks lol. I'm still thinking about other books along the way but I am keeping them straight in my head lol. And I've been playing around with cover designs along the way to give me an idea of what I'm wanting for each book. I'm getting better at that!
But Fairytale's Christmas is the last book I'm planning on writing for this year. I may be working on it for NaNo this year. That sure did help me last year. When it gets closer to the end of the year, I'll be sharing the run-down for next year's line-up. And I will be having a vote for the 4th book to be written so that'll be fun! Anyway, that's it for today's post. Happy April Fool's Day and Happy Easter!!
