Merry Christmas!

I'd like to start off by saying Merry Christmas! A plate of Chocolate Chip cookies and a glass of milk has been left for Santa. I've always wanted to put a plate out by a fireplace so I couldn't resist since we have one here. Even though it's not a real fireplace lol. Hey, it's the thought that counts--right?

So we're having a small get-together tomorrow. Just us and our two daughters with their kids. Our son wanted to spend time with his girlfriend's family which is fine. I got to see him for Thanksgiving so I'm willing to share lol. The presents are all under the tree and waiting to be opened. I can't wait to see all their faces as they open their gifts. Especially, a couple of gifts. Going to be a blast.

My husband and I are both making our Christmas dinner. I did the deserts already. I baked a pumpkin pie because he wanted one. Then I put together a no-bake pie that I always wanted to try. No recipe, just wanted to try something. It's a 3 layer-chocolate cream pie and it was simple to make. Of course, I couldn't get one of the ingredients so we'll see how it tastes lol........

If you want to give it a try. The ingredients should be chocolate crust (pre-made). A box of chocolate pudding, instant mix. Whipped cream. And a little chocolate syrup for the topping.

First, mix the pudding. Add just a little less milk than you need. The box said 2 cups of milk so it was just under the 2 cups. I did that so it would be a little thicker since I was using pudding instead of moose which may have turned out better but we'll see lol. Take half of the pudding and save it. The other half goes on the bottom. Spread it out as even as possible. Now take the half of the pudding you set aside and add the whipped cream (I used Cool Whip but you can use any brand). Use as much or as little as you'd like (desired taste). Mix thoroughly and spread over the pudding layer already on the pie crust. Now take what's left of the whipped topping and spread it over the top. Now you have 3 layers.

Take the chocolate syrup and dazzle a little over the top. Make it as pretty as you want. I added three kisses to the center of the pie for more decoration. I also have the whipped topping in a can so I added that to the edge of the pie. Chill and serve.

When I got the pie crust, they were out of the chocolate crust so I had to use normal graham cracker crust in the pre-made crust. It won't be as good but it does work. You can do this same method using different puddings, just go with whatever flavor you want. I think banana would taste pretty good using cut bananas on the top. Just an idea lol. Anyway, Merry Christmas! If you try this recipe, let me know in the comments how yours turns out and if you did anything different. Thank you!!
